Does it get better

So I've been watching it through for the first time...

I have liked it til now.. I got to season 5 and I find it hard to watch...

The episodes are all basically the same.. There aren't many twists like there used to be, and the story construction is always the same...

There is some case
Alison dreams a part of it
They get confused because she only dreams parts at a time.
In the meantime Manni and Lee are doing the legal thing to solve the case
Then at some point Alison's dreams finally connects to the investigations.

The cases are very similar, or even if not, how the story plays out is always the same now...

And even now, it seems like the dreams are very disconnected and just inserted in a highly contrived way.. Like the dreams could have been inserted anywhere in the episode and it wouldn't change a thing..

If there are any twists, they certainly aren't as exciting as they used to be.. And even the continuing stories are non-existent or boring... And no character development...

I really liked this show, and hate that it has gone down hill so far now.. So, in your opinion, does it get better to its previous standard???
