Medium the finale

I was a huge fan of Medium until it's 5th season. We were unable to continue getting cable and with the networks going to Hi Def we could not afford the boxes. For 3 years we watched a lot of DVDs. I have finally watched the rest of the shows. I am a little disappointed in the last one. I found the airplane accident and the whole dream sequence unbelievable.
I am a huge fan of all the actors in the show but I felt more could have been given to this story. Now having said that, I do like that it ended. It's popular to leave a show hanging about the ending and this show did not do that so THANK YOU, first of all for a great show. There were years when I thought it wouldn't be back and secondly THANK YOU for a show I could watch and unwind with. Most shows tend toward the action and drama and, for the most part, you confined episodes to 1 hour. I appreciate all the hard work all of you put into this show and I'll be watching reruns when I have a chance.

Overall, it felt like they were stretching creatively that last episode. There were some very interesting story lines, but they were getting further and further "out there". It was probably time that the series ended. I would take the direction the story took as a sign that the creative people behind it were getting a bit weary.

The last episode was a bit disappointing. I thought it was well told and it was certainly captivating. I just felt so let down after it was over and I was terribly sad. I wish they had done something else. I wasn't happy with Joe leaving Allison and the girls when he was still so young. It was enough that he had just buried his mother and Ariel had gone off to college. That was too much change.

I certainly enjoyed the show overall. I felt very attached to the characters and, after binge watching it on Netflix, I will miss it like a member of my own family.

I liked how they ended it. Joe even said he sent Allison the dream so she could see that she could survive without him, but that she took over and invented the part about him surviving the crash.
Here's what I don't understand about the very end- Allison dies 41 years after the events of the finale, and for 7 years, everyone on the show who dies, stays the age they were when they died and are wearing the clothes they died in. Allison reverted to the age she was when Joe died, and I'm pretty sure she was wearing the pajamas she wore in the scene where Joe first came to her after the plane crash.

They look as they did when they died, because they have unresolved issues before they move on. Also spirits aware of their situation presented themselves as they wang to be seen.

Many believe in the afterlife we revert to our self that made us happiest. Possibly Allison's reward was returning to Joe as she was when he left.

I hated the finale, Joe constantly got the short stick but worked through it for his family. He deserved to be with them and enjoy what he built.
