What exactly did Tritter do wrong? Was he supposed to sacrifice his job by not arresting House for breaking the law?

And what House did to him was actually rape, even if it wasn't done for sexual reasons. He was also completely rude. Tritter was also rude when he said he was waiting two hours, but I understand his frustration, and House was much ruder.

And he definitely should've taken a swab. He knows doctors can be wrong, even when they're certain they're right.

The only bad thing Tritter did was trip House, but he had every right to be angry, and everything else he did was completely justified.

This. And it was actually surprising it took 3 seasons for House to meet his match by messing with the wrong guy.

No, House did not rape Tritter... House performed a valid medical test on him with his consent to do so.

Well Tritter was right at the end, House ends as a wanted criminal, causes the death of Wilson's girlfriend and puts Cuddy and others in danger.

That is why is dislike those Tritter episodes. Not because I disagree but because of the tone of the storyline. House, the show, seems to think it can bounce between "This is the world of this hospital where Gregory House can do all of these things that would get him fired" and the "Outside world" I can run with the former but the latter is sometimes just too much.

No. When House is declared dead he is no longer a wanted criminal. When someone is declared dead that is also wanted for a crime the police stop looking for the fugitive. What sense would it make to maintain wanted status on someone that is officially dead?

There were lots of problems with Tritter and what he did. While he could have investigated House, he wouldn't have had the ability to continually watch over the pharmacy records he indicates he does in the show. Gaining access to the pharmacy records would require a warrant which would have been valid only on the records that existed at the time specified by the warrant you wouldn't have seen him with some magical warrant that allowed him to just keep look at the records each time they were updated. You also have so many other things that were simply not going to be allowed in the real world by him prior to that time that it really made the whole Tritter episodes a mistake. You had a show that seemed to try and get the medical portions right, but which ignored the way the legal system works.
