Didn't he have a girlfriend back in New Zealand. I understand they hadn't been dating long, but I mean they shagged, she even drove with him to the boat, and I'm guessing picked him up when he came back. It looked like a monogamous relationship to me. So why did Burt band that old woman in the desert and not even think twice about it? The movie doesn't dwell on it either, as if he did nothing wrong. Did anyone else notice this?
My point is that it was kind of a $hitty thing to do and I was waiting for that scene in the movie where it was going to blow up in his face but it never did.
My only knowledge is from what I saw in the movie and what the movie suggested was that they were in a relationship. Then he goes to America, sleeps with another woman, and once again from what I saw in the movie, does not tell her about it. How is that not cheating? Maybe there is more to the true story that I don't know about. Maybe they were in an open relationship, or they were just f*^k buddys, but they don't present that in the movie. If you have first hand knowledge that you could share with me that would explain why it wasn't cheating I would greatly appreciate it but otherwise I don't understand how that is not cheating.
Playground insults when you still have nothing useful to say, what are 12? Let me make this a little more simple for you because you seem to be having a hard time.
Facts- Burt and Fran are in a relationship. He wants to go to America and she helps him finance the trip. He then travels to America, sleeps with another woman, Fran picks him up at the port when he arrives back in New Zealand, and he never tells her about it. In normal healthy adult relationships we call that cheating. You still have not disputed one of these facts.
Assumptions- I don't like what your saying so you are an ass WAAAAAHHH WAAAAAHHH!! Stop saying mean things about the character that I liked in the movie. It hurts my (sob sob) feelings. WAAAAAHHH!! *GURGLE* WAAAAAHHHH!!
Never "assume" as it makes an ASS out of U and ME..
Again you ASSUME to know all the details of the relationship Burt and Fran have, it may have been a casual relationship, an open relationship, just really close friends .. or none of these ..
By the way, what is YOUR definition of a "normal" "healthy" adult relationship?? You do know that your definition is not necessarily the same as anyone else's and to ASSUME so is naive at best.
Ok, so maybe they weren't going steady. He doesn't give her his class ring or letterman's jacket, so he's free to do as he pleases. Them's the rules. Just because she holds a torch for him while he's gone doesn't make him to be a real bad guy eh?
"check the imdb cast list before asking who portrayed who in movies please"
