SO MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTED!

We had "movie" night at our house last night, and the choices(not mine btw) came down to either "88 Minutes", "27 dresses" or "21" (apparently a numbers theme going on). Anway, we watched 88, and it really held our interest. Everyone from his secretary, to the cop was suspect. Now they played that up with sophmoric tricks like "the look", and liberties with the story. A college student who, in an effort of devotion, become a serial killer?? Not likely. But i found it tense, didn't really know who was/wasn't in on it, and CARED about WHO it was. Although i did feel the Lauren "attack" was a setup. In the end, a really good movie!

Pacino has definitely done worse(Revolution,Author!Author!),and he was his ussual excellent self. Would the movie have been as good without him? No, but thats why they hired him.

We did end up watching 27 dresses this afternoon, and BELIEVE ME, last night we made the right choice!!!! 27 dresses was God awful!!!!

Someday i'll get to "21".

I had a similar experience and found the movie entertaining and held my interest.

It wasn't too bad, but the acting was terrible and plot was predictable and recycled.. I still gave it a 7. 27 Dresses was terrible, and 21 wasn't bad until the ending.

You seriously need to find better movies to watch. I know that Hollywood makes mostly crap like this these days but there are some good movies out there if you look hard enough.

Exact opposite for me. I thought the movie might be OK but I thought it awful.

I liked this movie, wasn't great but it was okay. The acting wasn't great either (with the exception of Pacino) and I liked how they made historical tie-ins (Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacey).
