What was Al Pacino thinking?

This movie is a joke. It is laughable to think that Al Pacino agreed to be in it. The writing and acting is absolutely terrible. Do NOT ... I repeat: DO NOT rent this movie. BRUTAL!

Not only acting, but the artificial looks too. At the beginning of his career (Godfather, Panic in Needle Park, Dog day afternoon, Serpico, Scarface) Pacino was acting and looking so natural. He also acted his age. I guess that pushed him into the stardom. In this movie he looks like an old, pruned, metrosexual playboy who dyes his hair and beard! His appearance makes you wish he was given only 8 minutes, hoping he'd die real soon so the agony of watching him can end.
I think actors should cope with their age - like Clint Eastwood or Jack Nicholson do, for example. And that's why their movies are still good or even better than before.

Well put, I agree whole heartedly with both posters. Sums up my thoughts!

The best thing in the movie was Al's hairstyle that kept changing... kept me laughing all the way through.

What if I say: "The movie was quite good. DO! I repeat: DO RENT THIS MOVIE!"

That's a bit exaggerated though, but yours is even more.

Writing was not bad at all, acting could be better yeah. But that's not making a movie "brutal" (I assume this is an odd word saying something like 'worthless). I think it's not little above average.

What's wrong with his haircut by the way? My father has also hair like that, it changes every minute. And considering Pacino was quite active in his role, and that he likes to feel his face and hair with his hands...

I can only hope you are being sarcastic with that last post because I don't understand.

You are telling me that your dad's hair can grow 6 inches over a period of ten minutes, only to then receed back to the original length. And then grow again. And then receed again. And so on. And so forth???

This is the worst movie that I have seen in ten years. It is so bad that it is laughable. Did you read the list of mistakes that were made during the production? It was like it was a high school project or something.

reply

Yes I was sarcastic, but the points I made were serious.

I didn't notice the difference in hair length, I though you were saying that the model of his hair keeps changing (as does the hair of my father), sorry for that.

You're right that there are not little goofs in the movie, and I think the acting of the girls was not the best. Still that's not what makes a movie bad, it just makes it less good. And basically the movie is good, subtracting this things makes it quite good. In my opinion.

reply

Dude. How is "less good" different that "bad"? Haha. I think you just agreed with me. This movie is BRUTAL. The 'small goofs' are not small. They are HUGE goofs. This movie should not be watched. Period.

reply

Ok, I give up, it's hopeless.

(Which does not mean that I agree with you...)
