Why wasn't 88 minutes 88 minutes long?
I don't understand. They did more than 88 minutes worth of stuff

According to the trivia, from the moment that he gets the call saying he has 88 minutes to live, there rest of the movie takes place in 88 minutes. Also, apparently, when we finally see who the copycat killer/caller is, the first 88 minutes have passed. I didn't time it, but that's pretty cool if it's true. It's 107 minutes, so apparently he gets the call 19 minutes into the film.
shareWell, isn't that clever!
LOL...
I have to disagree with this one. Yes, maybe the movie is only 88 minutes from that point. But what they do in the movie, driving across town a couple of times would well take more than 88 minutes.
Spoiler alert:
How long was he in class before the bomb threat?
How long was he in the parking garage?
How long was he in the police station?
How long was he in his apartment, watching the television? Don't forget he was on the air as well.
And on top of that, the plot was just too convoluted.
Yes. I see this is turning into another "tear this movie down" thread.
The plot was too convoluted? Darned right!!
As I've previously said, I do like this movie but the nine years involved, the flashbacks and so on make this movie hard to follow. Oh and how about the technique of throwing in totally loonie characters (Guy LaForge, the Campus Police officer, the doorman that the agency just sent over) in an attempt to make everybody look guilty?
Oh well, I'm going off the "88 Minutes long" topic but I feel this movie is going to be discussed a little while longer.
