So wait, let me get this straight. Lelee's character was just infatuated with that prick rapist and did the murders to get him free? Geez, what a crazy chick!

Yeah it does seem to be highly unbelievable that somebody would go to those lengths just to get that idiot released.

I think she was supposed to have psychological issues that he used to manipulate her over time. It does still require some suspension of disbelief, but I think it was supposed to be more than "golly he's cute, I'd kill innocent women to get him out of prison." But yes, "crazy chick" probably sums it up.
