Original plot

The movie "88 Minutes" starring Al Pacino was aired on Star Movies some time back( I am from India), which showed the original plot of the movie, which included scenes from courtroom trial which Neal McDonough's character faces for the rape charges of the twin Cates sisters (and eventually for the murder of one of them), where Neal says "Tick-Tock, Doc" to Al Pacino for the first time. This plot has also been given in IMDB and Wikipedia summaries. But recently, I had a chance to watch this movie again, this time on DVD at my friends house, where the film directly starts 9 nine after the trial, from the morning after Al Pacino has a one night stand with Leah Cairns character.
I wanted to know that where can I get the copy of the movie with original plot, the one which was aired on Star Movies. I guess the DVD copy is the same which was released in theaters but if I want the original movie, where can I possibly get it from? (I stay in India, and online copies will also do)

Umm...what? I've got the DVD and it contains all of the scenes you describe. The film starts with the murder of one of the twin girls, and the courtroom scene follows.

Maybe your friend with the DVD skipped the first few chapters or something, because I'm pretty sure there's only one version of 88 Minutes.

I just watched the dvd as well and it's exactly as the OP stated. There's no courtroom scene whatsoever.

No courtroom scene here too, om a DVD. WTF !!!

"We are the people your parents warned you about."

Most of the courtroom scenes (two actually) can be identified by the spoken lines: "It is my professional opinion..." and "The defendant please rise." "We, the jury, find..."

There's no visual courtroom in the scene as it is all closeups.
