Good acting, great photography but ...average movie
I am a big Gilliam fan but this sucked quite a lot ...he has turned into David Lynch where being "weird" and "artistic" is all he can do
For anyone familiar with a few Gilliam flicks it offers absolutely nothing new.
With Brazil the weirdness was anchored to a great script, with 12 Monkeys it was linked to the mystery of what happened to Earth...with Tideland its linked to nothing with no characters you could possibly relate to and ends up being really flat. The Lolita-esque moments were a bit disturbing but this was simply weird for weirds sake
