I bought a Blu-ray player a few months ago and have only bought a handful of movies on Blu-ray mostly because the BD discs are still way overpriced. Well son-of-a-gun three weeks ago I shopped at my local Fry's Electronics store and the store had "Nim's Island" on Blu-ray for just $17. ----- I just watched the movie and the picture and sound quality is fantastic, Jodie Foster was just great!. ----- It's great to see some movies like "Nim's Island" on Blu-ray drop to regular DVD prices. ----- ----- Rusty

As time goes on, it will be easier and easier to find blu-rays for lower prices. You can regularly find deals for used blu-rays at Amazon and Ebay. I rarely pay over $15 for a blu-ray.
But that's because I avoid the brick and morter stores usually. You finding Nin's Island for $17 was a real good buy!

Besides "Nim's Island", I did find another good buy on BD last month at Best Buy, "The Departed" for just $14.99. ----- And like you said pazuzu-2, we'll be finding more bargains as BD prices start coming down. -----I rarely buy from Amazon.com or buy items from E-Bay unless I really want something because two years ago a "person or persons" got my credit card number and went wild on E-Bay. I didn't have to pay for the fraudulent charges because I contacted my credit card company as soon as I found out about it. But it was a hassle clearing that mess up and very unnerving.----- But I'll still buy items on E-Bay if the seller accepts money orders. ----- And once in awhile you should check out Best Buy or Fry's Electronics for BD movies because both stores are starting to have some BD movie prices dropping to around $15. --------- ----- Rusty

Yeah, that's always a possible problem. I try to be careful but the risk is there. The only time I ever really got took was a few years ago when "phishing" was just starting. I got an email from a "phisher" claiming to be Paypal that was realistic enough for me to fall for it. They charged $200 but it was reversed by Paypal. Now, I am careful but still not willing to give up online buying :)
