I am watching this movie for the first time, however it is not holding my attention & I keep channel surfing, so maybe they addressed this in the film or here but I can't find it. Nim & Jack are living on this deserted island all alone. What water do they drink, how is their house lit and how does Nim get connected to the Internet?

shareNo, not the water, but everything else. They would need a generator to get electricity (or if they knew how, they can use water as a generator). Water conducts electricity.
And as for drinking water, they probably have a great filtration system. I wish they had showed this in the film. But as others have written, this is based on a kid's novel and kids don't need many explanations. They have magical thinking.
Exactly; it is a FILM, not a documentary, and it is for CHILDREN.
