Anyone else prefer the Maggot cut?

I saw the Maggot cut many times before seeing Fred's edit, and have to say I was a bit disappointed by the standard release.
I thought the junkie scene and the Killjoy murder sequence were the least convincing in the series - the Maggot cut is better for their absence, in my opinion.
Also, while I previously thought the Maggot cut was too heavy on story (the narrative arcs around the love triangle) making it less authentic as a Snuff film, I think given the tone of Penance, the Maggot cut works much better as a branching film. Having the incest as a point of entry, graphically illustrated before we encounter the characters is another weakness for me. I much prefer the Maggot cut's building of tension between Crusty, Maggot and Fred, and that the sibiling relationship seems to escalate in line with their homicidal activities.
Just wondering if anyone else preferred the Maggot cut, or if it is one of those things that the first version a given person encounters seems "better" because it is more familiar?

Incidentally, if anyone is looking for the maggot cut, you can get it on maggot films http://maggotfilms.com/maggot-store/ - he is currently offering it as a freebie if you buy one of his other DVDs, or as a "special edition" (that looks like it comes in some crusty old toilet roll)

I really like the way you laid all that out.
