This is beep (Don't get me wrong, I thought the first one was good)

This is *beep*. The first August Underground is really good because it's incredibly realistic and because of that it's disturbing. Mordum isn't disturbing at all because it's too unrealistic and over-the-top. Yeah, there's a lot of really *beep* up *beep* in it, but it all feels like the makers told themselves "let's film the most depraved acts of sex and violence ever (even if they're totally unbelievable) and show people how depraved we are" and because of that it just doesn't feel serious and it's not disturbing. It feels like a gross-out contest. The first one is disgusting and disturbing, Mordum is just disgusting........ and boring as hell.

As much as I hate to admit it, I do kinda agree with you. It started out strong, I dug the environments (made every scene in Se7en look sparkly clean), but a lot of the scenes just dragged on far too long. And I do wish they told us what happened to the friend from the first one, the dynamic between those 2 is partly what made it so compelling.
1st one is best, but the least sick
3rd is very good, 2nd best and seems to have the most story and development
2nd was goriest and most impressive with the levels of depravity, but also boring.

You took the words out of my mouth Nicko. The first was brutal, raw, realistic, scary and just plain cruel. This just tried way too hard. Sure, it was disgusting but they failed at being disturbing.

MovieKid100's mom is a prostitute. One Direction sucks. You're Next failed. What else is new?

The first was the better one, no doubt about it, but come on, the very fact that it had so many depraved and fvcked up stuff in it (despite it losing the realistic factor), it was still pretty awesome. It's in the same vein as A Serbian Film, in that both movies are incredibly over the top, but the fact that they purposefully cross that line of decency makes it respectable imo.

I've learned to appreciate it more. I mean, how could I hate a movie with so much depraved and fcked up *beep*? 

Btw, you're probably the most awesome girl ever. It's incredibly hard to find a girl who likes movies like this.

CG GORE IS THE WORST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO THE HORROR GENRE!
