I"m fairly new to anime, haven't really seen much except Cowboy Bepop, and stuff like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh when I was a kid and then Avatar:the last airbender later on- though might not even be anime, I'm quite ignorant on this so apologies if I get it wrong.

And have seen first half season of Attack on Titan.

Anyway, I wanted to see this show as heard it's a good one for newbies, and I've seen some episodes and it's pretty good, but I have a question. Does Naruto continue to be so shouty? Cause it's really starting to get on my nerves, I had same problem with Erin in Attack on Titan and just had to stop, because it was too annoying. I don't really like so much shouting though it seems like it's anime style, so perhaps I might be out of luck.

Well you have to understand where Naruto, at the start of the series, is at. He's brash, wears orange (he's a ninja wearing a very look-at-me color), wants to be at the center of attention (through pranks, being loud, etc...) and as the series goes on you can understand why (heck by the end of the first episode you can understand why to a degree).

So for him, that's who he is. Does that tone down? Of course, but at his nature he's a very in your face, blunt person.

You might be out of luck. 90% of entry level shounen have "loud" characters in them. Just have to get accustomed to it.

I suggest you drop this series because it gets terrible halfway through.

If I were you, I'd read the manga first, and then watch the anime to get a good idea of what was changed or added. You'd may also want to skip the fillers, because this anime has a LOT of fillers.
