Romance in Naruto?

I was considering watching this anime for a long time now, but I'm still a bit sceptic. I hear only good critics about Naruto and the only thing that keeps me in doubt is the tragedy in it or its "dramatic touch", because I'm so emotional and break easily.

Despite that I also wonder how "romantic" is this show actually? I'm not looking for romance and love twists anymore. After Inuyasha, which is a great show, I kinda don't wanna get myself into that type of anime once again.
Naruto has about 23 seasons, so you really need to prepare for that. So I ask, is Naruto truly worth it?

Romance is pretty much put in the back-burner. It's not until the penultimate film THE LAST does Romance become a major element.
Whether the series is worth it or not is subjective- up to you.
I should warn you: There is a lot of filler. The first series NARUTO becomes filler from episodes 135 to 219, with its last episode going back to canon material.
The second series NARUTO SHIPPUDEN is worse in this respect. Of the 444 episodes released so far, at least half is filler. Some are essential, like episodes 347-361-ish. Some are good, but it does get irritating when the major storyline is interrupted with a filler arc.
If you want to watch the series, but still want a good idea of the complete story, I suggest reading the manga (and there are some scenes from the manga that I felt were handled better in that format, and vice-versa), and its filmed conclusions THE LAST: NARUTO THE MOVIE and BORUTO: NARUTO THE MOVIE.
