Where does Georgie get the money to take the trip to that hotel in the first place... I didn't catch that part..

Does it say how much money she had?

she goes to the bank and withdraws all her money and cashes all of her mothers bonds

They do not say how much she actually had but the HMO rep. totaled up the cost of the surgery and it was over $300,000.00 'without anesthesia'. So we assumed she did not have enough for the surgery (she had said she would pay for it herself).

A very nice updated remake.
