Question about Chef Didier
I somehow missed this and need an explanation...when Georgia and Chef Didier are cooking in his restaurant, she learns some sort of secret about him. What was it? What did he imply? Please help!!!
shareHmmmm I dunno, he let out a lot of secrets that were set up to be dramatic but turn out to be funny like the pork fat and butter ones...

I think it wa sthe fact that he cooked with pork fat , but if some people found out that he did they would flip.. Didnt he say, you know how some people feel about pork.
The comment was based on the religious belief of Muslims that contact with pork will damn them to Muslim hell and deny them their virgins in Heaven.

When he was talking about "The poor baby turnip", nobody likes them" he had said "Of course, life is easy if you are truffle or *beep* mushroom, but the turnip is to be loved because she's a self made woman of vegetables. All the others, you can only destroy with cooking, but the turnip, she get's better." Then he had gotten choked up when saying "So you see..., it is not how you start... but how you finish" He was using the turnips and vegetables as a metaphor for her and the other rich people at the hotel. That those with privilege can't handle tough times, but those who start out without favour only get better with trials.
Then he says "The first time I saw you, I was soo happy to see your appetite for food, for life"... "I'm so sorry." He had guessed that she was dying. Georgia says "Does anybody else know?"
"No"
"Well, good. Let's not say anything, alright? Let's just cook."
"The onions, they make me cry."
He was blaming the onions for his tears.

I can't believe they *beeped* out the proper name of a mushroom!!
