The ending was SO predictable! How she was misdiagnosed

I knew this would happen before I saw it!

Who cares for not using spoilers, I'm saving the people that haven't seen it a lot of time.

Easily the most predictable movie ever.

Yeah. I regretted agreeing to go to this movie about 30 second in. I began organizing my purse I was so bored. And I told my friend she was going to get misdiagnosed and she got mad at me for spoiling the ending and asked how I knew....Well duh.

reply

Of course it was annoying that she just took their word for it and didn't get another opinion, but it was just a fantasy--not terribly good, but entertaining in a weak sort of way. I really was disappointed that the leads didn't break out and sing at the end.

Remember: Her company HMO had to be argued (scared) into paying for the first CT scan. There was no way they'd spring for a second one at another facility.

Remember, too, the three enormous manuals explaining their appeals procedure.

The first priority of any insurance company is their stockholders, not their policyholders.

Actually, her boss had to be threatened into paying for the CT scan. It was a Workers Comp injury (banging her head on the job). The HMO came into play only after she'd been diagnosed. Legally the HMO would be required to offer her the opportunity to get re-tested and get a second opinion.

No argument about the priorities of insurance companies.

I knew the ending from the trailer.
but i still think the movie was really good, it was fun to watch

reply

I knew she'd be misdiagnosed, I love this movie though nonetheless. But you still shouldn't spoil for others, just because you disliked it doesn't mean others will :)

Yes, it was obvious...but it was fun getting there and that is all that counts. It's a good film!

OK, so what's the speed of dark?

THIS from an original poster with a Spider Man 3 tagline as his signature....

Get a grip, fanboy.

BEWARE! SPOILER!

See the original with Alec Guinness.

SPOILER!

He too was misdiagnosed, but DOES die anyhow. I haven't seen Queen Latifah's version, but am not surprised that it cops out.

the movie didnt strike me as though it was trying to be the most original, believable, twisty-turny plot there ever was. i think the point is that its a simply sweet movie that makes you laugh and smile, regardless of ridiculous or predictable situations.

Here lies Dobby, a Free Elf.
Chuck Norris' boggart is Neville Longbottom.

reply

Of course it's predictable, but who cares? It's a charming, sweet movie and doesn't pretend to be anything else. I completely enjoyed it. That you don't care about spoiling it for others means you are nasty and frankly, predictable.

OP-- it's rude to post the end of a movie in your topic no matter how predictable it is. I can't imagine that you would like it if that was done to you with a movie you haven't seen yet. That is why the word SPOILER is posted all of these boards. It's a polite way to warn others who might not want to know an ending.

reply

Jesus. I hadn't even seen the movie! I was just making a prediction. I wasn't doing it out of spite, it's just what me and my friends do when we see movies.

reply

I think mothraegg's scolding about spoiling movie endings in their subject line was for the OP Jupitersomething.

Predict all you want, but the OP put the ending of the movie in his/her post on purpose. Probably thought it would be fun to do so.

reply

The movie never was about being predictable or not... therefore... Who cares if the OP told us the end too early? (Well "us" is too much people, I've seen it already, I'm just searching data about what happened to the major, that seemed a missmatch between image and words)
