The ONE thing I disliked the most about this movie was....

Was that while I didn't mind the reveal of the Air Marshal being the villain, he seemed like he had NO purpose whatsoever. He seemed to be quite dumb and stupid actually with a plan that seemed smart at first, but was far TOO risky enough to get him caught in everyway possible. A criminal posing as a cop who just plans to kill random people and trick everyone else just so he can get away with being rich? He doesn't even acknowledge just how much he desires to have that money. Part of me thinks that proving that he could get away with a ton of crimes without anyone ever knowing who he really was was a bigger priority than the money itself. Even The Joker in The Dark Knight had no backstory, yet had a purpose, if not realistic, that was fleshed out very well.
