The boarding pass

1. Mom and six-year-old daughter are among first boarders. No crowd at boarding gate. Each of the two has a boarding pass.

2. Hearty discussion of the passenger manifest on-board reveals that the daughter isn't listed on the manifest. It doesn't matter who does or does not "remember" seeing the daughter getting on board or being on board.

3. Was the enplaning gate attendant (possible co-conspirator), conspirator federal air marshal, or flight attendant co-conspirator capable of deleting a passenger entry from that manifest?
a. was the daughter's boarding pass a "dummy" that didn't actually enter her
name into the manifest?

b. How would a "dummy" boarding pass be created? and who would create it?

i dont get your questions...
1.all i know is that it was arranged to make it seem as tho the baby was never on the plane.
2.when millions are at stake, its amazing what you can work out...

The 6-year-old is not a "baby".

She needed a boarding pass to get on the plane. Scanning that boarding pass when entering the plane added her name to the passenger manifest.

wether it was a dummy boarding pass or wether the kids name was removed from the manifest...it doesnt really matter, either way the name wasnt there because they planned the thing to make millions, so obviously they managed to make it work for themselves somehow...
why does it bother you so much ^

Because it's a ridiculous plot hole that stretches suspension of disbelief beyond the breaking point, that's why.

Haha a 6 year old baby!

'I don't get your questions'
Don't *beep* try to answer them then! Just sit back and let the smarter people work it out.

It IS annoying because if you've ever been on a commercial flight you know your boarding pass AND passport go through several checks where they are RECORDED as well!
So when such a stupid nonsensical thing is driving the plot then it's an insult to people's intelligence who have the tiniest amount of common sense.

I would imagine that two possibilities exist--both of which involve the gate attendant being a co-conspirator. Both possibilities also include the fact that, once all the passengers checked-in at the gate, the gate attendant sends a "hard copy" (a sheet of paper) to the flight crew of the plane:

Possibility 1) The gate attendant changes "Julia Pratt" (the daughter's name) to some other name. This leaves the possibility that, if the flight crew decides to count noses, the count would be off by one so they realize that someone is missing. Therefore, Jodie wouldn't come off looking so crazy.

Possibility 2) The gate attendant deletes "Julia Pratt" from the manifest before forwarding the list to the flight crew.

I'm sure, IRL, the FAA and the airline have procedures in place that would forestall either possibility.
