Cornish accents

Gotta be hones I've watched a lot of this show and I do enjoy it but as a Cornishman myself my only gripe is that the Cornish accents don't sound very Cornish at all, more like some generic West Country accent that they think is Cornish. Ah well that's all me beauties now geddon! I'll see you dreckley me ansomes. :-D

You know, I've actually heard Ian McNeice comment in interviews how difficult the Cornish accent is to get right.

I guess growing up here you get used to it. It's just funny to listen to it. I guess to get all the little nuances and colloquialisms right is probably asking quite a lot! Doesn't stop me enjoying it though. ๐Ÿ˜„

It's worse when they make programmes/films up here in Scotland, no matter where they are set, be it the Highlands, the Borders, Edinburgh or the Islands, you can guarantee almost everyone will have a Glaswegian/West of Scotland accent, which really annoys me.

At least the accents (or attempts at accents) on Doc Martin still sound charming!
