Possibly some of the older ones, maybe... But not the younger ones... He was gone 15 years... X
shareI think all of them were either drifters or didn't have family. They were people that wouldn't be missed if they don't show up. I think that would have been cool if they all were the witnesses though.

I don't think there's any way for him to have specifically found out who was there and lured them to his tonsorial parlor. Being in Fleet Street meant that a lot of the clientele who would be coming through were not Londoners, but people who were traveling from outside. Ergo, it would be a while before anyone noticed they were missing and no one would be able to trace them back to a barbershop they happened to visit while passing through London.
In other versions of the story, Sweeney and Nellie are ultimately found out because the stink of the rotting remains waft up from the sewers. This is one of the few versions where their crimes actually come back around and do them in without outside interference.
