Just after the "Odessa Yodel" music, as they arrive at Bree's parents' home in Phoenix, there is a bit of a Native American song, sung by a woman with a rich, golden voice. It is not identified in the credits or on the soundtrack. Anyone know how to find out who it is, the name of the song, etc.? Thanks. - larsonszoo
Years later, but . . .
I did see it listed in the end credits although it did not make it onto the soundtrack album. It is "I May Want a Man" by Joanne Shenandoah.
I know it from an episode of
Northern Exposure, and it appears on the album
More Music from Northern Exposure from the TV series. That is appropriate as
Transamerica also features actor Graham Greene, who played an occasional character, shaman Leonard Quinhagak, on
Northern Exposure.
