How does he solicit sex with that random truck driver, AND get paid for it? How do you know someone is gay just by looking at them? How do you ask them if they want to pay to *beep* you without getting punched in the face?

why will someone punch him in the face?? worse case scenario they say no and he moves on

surly he has been in the sex trade (also he was abused by his step father)...long enough to know that as an attractive male very few people will say no- if he was an aged bald man then maybe not but Toby is young and attractive

I can't remember this scene very well, but I had a friend who used to loiter in men's restrooms for sex, and I believe that's how he would 'attract' people. He would just stare at them and loiter and they automatically assumed he was in there looking for sex. I'm sure they had some idle chit chat beforehand to make certain he wasn't an undercover police officer. Plus my friend was super effeminate, so all they had to do was put two and two together. I guess it was somewhat the same with Toby, except he wasn't effeminate.
