fliming in caledonia ontario canada.
Hi i just heard that filming will be done in Caledonia ontario, a little town off of hamilton, my friend who works in the town told me, and also she's going to become an extra.
shareWe will be traveling close to Caledonia on vacation on Thursday July 22. Do you think your friend would know if they are filming on that day and the location. We have never seen a movie being filmed and it would be a thrill to see some of it, especially Juliann Moore. Thanks.
shareThey start filming on my street in Paris on Monday and I think it is for 3 or 4 days. They must be going to Caledonia next! How exciting!

shareYup, they are filming in Paris, ON as I type this (July 19th) for one day only. The local radio news reported they trimmed the shooting schedule down to one day, and that it is exterior shots only. Doubtful Ms. Moore will even bge in the vicinity.
shareI was at the filming today in Paris, Ontario. And yes, Ms Moore was most definitely there. A friend of mine met her as well. They filmed at my place of work (and all round town,) and obliged the crew as well could. Too bad they had to cut back their time here!

Oh yes! I met Miss Moore and got her autograph! She is so beautiful and very petite. I guess I thought she would be more statuesque as she appears that way in the movies and on tv. They shot right on my street and I had a front row view. Although we had to move for some shots as we did not fit the era lol! She even stayed at the local hotel and had dinner in the dining room. The old cars and extras in period clothes were so neat! One of the production guys said that they have to make it snow on Wednesday in Richmond Hill! that would be quite a site to watch! All in all a busy day of filming and a lot of excitement for this small town!

Well not in Paris, to my knowledge. They were filming on my road the following day. I kinda snooped around in between filmnig by wasn't allowed anywhere near it in the afternoon.

I took a bunch of pictures (weren't digital though) of the alterations the crew did to the town, but they're not developed yet. The local newspapers took a bunch of pics, you could try their websites. The Paris Star and the Brantford Expositor. It's http://www.parisstaronline.com and I can't rememember the Expositor's addy.
