shareTerry Ryan was a featured speaker at the Maui Writers Conference last year. She is an absolutely engaging and delightful presenter. I read the book and highly recommend it. Cant wait to see the movie!!

Anyone who got to be involved with this film was lucky, I read the book, and thought it was AMAZING. I cannot wait to see this, especially since Moore is my favourite actor, I'm pretty certain she'll have nailed this, as she always does ;) and from what people who saw the test screenings have said, it's going to be an incredible film too - someone described it as funny and moving, so it looks like they've captured the essence of the book, plus, with Terry Ryan being on set therefore involved... Looks very promising. Jumping the gun ever so slightly, but I'd love to see this be a major Oscar contender for 2006. It seems to check a lot of the Academys figurative boxes... *Crosses fingers* I love the story so dearly, and all of it's characters (though those may not be correct terms for a true story), I would just love to see it do really well. And I really think it's about time they gave Moore one of those little gold statues too. :)
