Second favorite film of 2005

What a pity this movie isn't shown nationwide, but luckily I got to watch it. I absolutely adore this film. It got lots of heart. I read the book first. I was laughing throughout the entire book and cried on 2 spots. I highly recommend the book, it's better than the film version (as usual) nevertheless the flick was still very well done.

The reason this movie was ranked 2nd in my books as opposed to "Proof" being number 1 is because I felt Paltrow, in my eyes, transformed 100% into her character, Catherine, where as I felt Julianne Moore lacked something...I didn't believe her as Evelyn Ryan 100%, maybe 90%, but still Prize Winner is a great film to catch. Perhaps having read the book of Prize Winner, I really got to know who Evelyn Ryan was, but I suppose it's difficult for a 2 hour movie to transfer that notion.
