Safe bet that she will be nommed but not a sure one. It's receiving a very limited release so it will have to gain momentum from critic's groups to do well in the annual awards derby. Lovely film, a bit sentimental but stirring and the audience i saw it with loved it. Recommended viewing, indeed.

julianne moore is wonderful in the role of evelyn ryan but i dont know if its an oscar caliber performance.its not a showy enough part.that said the movie is absolutely charming .enjoyed it immensely.it really made me want to read the book the real life evelyn ryan seems like an astounding lady.woody harrelson gives a fabulous performance as her useless husband actually if there are any occar nods for this film it will probably be mr harrelson in the best supporting actor category.the young actress who plays the teenage daughter tush is also quite good in her role.
