I can't wait to be able to post a comment like yours... not long now! I've read the book four times and have ordered the DVD from the USA (it's not on release in the UK). I don't care what some critics have said. I know a good story when I read it, and I can't wait to see the film... shame on the distibutors for not giving it a fair chance!
I don't even know what the critics have said about it. And I live in LA. Usually we hear about EVERY movie. I just can't believe that the distributors would just let this sit back on the shelves and collect dust!
P.S. I'm so buying the book now.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice. Henry Laws (1916-1993)
You will not regret buying the book, too bad there wasn't enough room/time for some of the funny stories in the movie. You will experience every human emotion by the time you finish reading this great story.
I agree with you 100%. I got the movie about 5 days ago from Netflix & I finally got around to watching it last night. I thought it was wonderful! I was near tears at the end. Very few movies do that to me. But it was happy tears! I've recommended it to my friends here at work & with Netflix. It's a true sleeper.
