The Book

I came across the book in a discount bookstore and bought it mainly because of the picture on the front of the book. I couldn't put it down. It was wonderful. It was sad, but on the other hand Evelyn Ryan saw the good in all. She was such a positive person. I sent an email to Terry Ryan after I had read the book and she wrote back. She told me then that they were making a movie out of it and I couldn't wait till it came out. I kept a look out for the longest time and I was very dissapointed where I live it came out in theaters for a very short while and then as soon as it came out on DVD I bought it. The book was so full of wonderful things I know you couldn't put all of them in a movie, but I sure wish there had been more things from the book in the movie. But it stil is one of my favorite books and movies. I would recomend it to everyone. I was born in 1957 and though I don't remember the 50's I do remember some of the things and I can relate to some of it.
