can you tell me what the disturbing images in this are?

The movie is very true to life as far as living with someone who abuses alcohol. There is a scene where he Evelyn falls and breaks the mild bottle andhas blood all overher. There is a scene where he is very upset and bashes the lid of the freezer with a baseball bat...scenes like that...

I have a 7 year old, and he will not see it for many years...even though Dortha Schaefer...played by Laura Dern is his great grandmother. It has a PG-13 rating for a reason. It is a fabulous movie, and I would recommend the movie to any adult
