Each time gets better...

I've just watched the movie for the third time since buying the DVD.
I have to say that I still think the book beats the movie, with all its wonderful little details and things that weren't mentioned in the film, such as Mammy the mother cat, Charley, her adopted chicken baby and Grandma Ryan, who nailed curtains to the wall instead of using tie-backs!
But I have to say that with each viewing, the film just gets better.
If you've not bought the DVD yet, then rush out and grab one quick! They are sure to sell out when word gets around about what a wonderful story this is.
And if you've not read the book, then make sure you do - you won't be able to put it down!

I completely agree with you. I've own the movie since it first was released on DVD. Everytime that I watch it gets better and better. I also recommand reading the book because it is one of those books that just keep you involved and as you Britt said, you can not put it down.
