In your opinion, Is this a good movie?
I don't really know if it is good to see it, so, What you think?

A wonderful movie!
I really liked it. I thought Julianne Moore was outstanding. She reminded me of Jessica Lange's portrayal of Patsy Cline. She was so good at it that I actually thought she WAS Patsy Cline at times. Same here with Julianne.
I would recommend the book as well. I thought it was great and gives more detail than the movie. For instance, the movie doesn't tell us that Kelly's sister, in real life, bought their groceries for them every week.
My only wish for the movie is that they had used someone else besides Woody Harrelson to play the husband. I'm sorry, but I just don't like that guy and I didn't enjoy his performance.

I agree with most of what megmarch2003 said in her previous comment.
I'd say the movie is just above average, although Julianne Moore does a great job. But the book is great, and if you like to read books, I'd highly recommend it.
I agree that Woody Harrelson was miscast as the Dad. He just didn't fit.
Is good for kids?

I would not let my children see this movie. There are some scenes with domestic violence (Kelly beats the freezer with a baseball bat, Evelyn falls with the milk jars which break and cause her hands to bleed...)
