How were they able to pay the income tax on all of those prizes?

They probably did not owe anything with all those kids as exemptions, not to mention other deductions. I bet they got money back at tax time.

I come here a lot because it's a well lighted place.

Prize winners often sell merchandise they win for cash and to pay the taxes.
