In one of the reviews I read of this movie, the critic wrote about disturbing image with a girdle and some milk but wouldn't elaborate. I searched all of the internet and couldn't find any other mention. The movie is not playing anywhere near me and I am dying to know what happened. Could someone please describe this scene to me? I guess put a spoiler warning.
Well, I've not seen the film, but assuming that it's the same as the book, she's trying to carry a number of bottles of milk without any help, and trips. The bottles smash and she cuts her hands and knees from what I remember, and has to shout at everyone to help her because they're just staring, sort of not knowing what to do. The book describes something about the milk turning pink from the blood. Not sure where the girdle comes into it, or if there have been any changes. There's a clip in the trailer of her with her hands bandaged, so I presume it's the same. Hope that was of some use...
I think the scene they must be referring to is after she returns from getting her hands bandaged her husband must help her remove her girdle. I think there is a shot of milk dripping to the ground. I don't recall anything too disturbing there. The scene previously described with the blood and milk mixing on the floor was worse. But maybe I missed something...
