Was Jack an Australian Shepherd?

I know that in the books, Jack was some type of bulldog, but in this movie, I thought he looked like an Australian Shepherd. But I'm just guessing, so does anyone know for sure? If I remember correctly, Jack also had dual-colored eyes, which isn't uncommon in Aussies.

Yes in the movie "Jack" was an Australian Shepherd.
My parents own two Australian Shepherds. And each of their Australian Shepherds have the two diffrent colored eyes as well.
