Blonde hair? BLONDE HAIR?? Are you kidding me???

I read the books and in my favorite "Little House in the Big Woods" it was VERY important that Laura had brown hair and brown eyes and Mary had blonde hair and blue eyes and Laura kind of hated her for it. Seriously, she mentions it on like every other page. Then one day Pa says: "Laura, my eyes are brown." and Laura realizes that brown is awesome. Then in later books she says she has blue eyes, which I never really understood, but the point is it's pretty easy to put a wig or some brown dye on an actress to keep people who read the books from thinking that your adaption is some kind of joke.

Your are right about the hair, but I think Laura's eyes were blue. I think Pa actually said "Laura, my HAIR is brown", and that is what he says to her in this film as well.

Just watched the DVD and Pa said that Caroline's hair was blonde. I could have sworn that the actress who plays Caroline in this movie has about the reddest hair I have seen.
