Anyone recognize this guy?

Around 1:45:00 while Serpentine is flowing gracefully through the Zeppelin and to the right of the Senator, there stands somebody in the doorway sort of drinking a drink and nodding his head.
Now, really its not important, but i like looking for the little things in movies; hidden Easter eggs if you will, cameos that aren't credited, things of that nature. The reason he stands out to me, is because he is the only one not wearing a suit and tie. Everyone else - suite and tie. I am just curious as to if that has any meaning at all. I would figure it relates to who he is, rather than the clothes themselves.

Any helpful thoughts would be appreciated.

BTW, personally, I love this movie, music, subject, and of course all the actors. Way way way under-appreciated. Ahead of its time and still relevant today.

Thanks in advance.

Just rewatched that clip and I'm sorry to say I can't recognize the man but yep, he's also the only one I notice not in formal attire.
Agree wholeheartedly about this movie. My students had to answer the question, "If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, what movie would you choose?"
I thought, "Huh. Southland Tales is the only movie that has something interesting for me each and every time I rewatch it."
Kelly is my gd hero.

Brother, you can believe in stones, as long as you don't throw them at me.

If you listen to the commentary, the director explains that as Serpentine goes from one room to the other, there is actually a hidden cut. The two men in black suits that walk right to left act as a wipe to hide the effect. I would assume the guy who is in the corner would be part of that special effect shoot.
So perhaps they were short of people on the day and just grabbed a stage hand or grip to make up the numbers.

The wipe effect, by the way is more obvious in the Cannes cut and more refined in the theatrical cut. But in both versions, if you know what to look for, you can still see when Serpentine first walks infront of what I assume would be a green screen.

Its still a truly great sequence in both versions of the film.
