Was he hero, or sidekick...sorry, hero support?

Thought he probably was a hero, but at the end (SPOILER) The Commander gave him and all the other puddles and glowers a reward saying something like "for all hero support", so I got a bit confused.

He is standing there at the end but he's actually talking with Will and Layla and does not grab on to the statue like the sidekicks. He would definitely be considered a "hero" due to his powers and I believe all the Disney promotional material showed this as well. HOpe this helps.

Also, I kinda think that sidekicks do not participate in Save the Citizen.

*Spoilers* also at the end battle, someone says (i think it was puddles mcGoo) that only warren and will are heroes, the rest are sidekicks.

actually it was magenta.

"You and Warren are the heroes. The rest of us are just side kicks"

Beyond a doubt a hero. He has flame throwing powers so I don't doubt that would put him higher up than the female that could turn into a small animal, and the guy who could turn into a puddle of some liquid.
