HSM gets sequals but this doesn't?

I know I know, HSM was 10x more popular than SH, but SH is far superior plot/charcter wise over all. Instead Disney focuses on that horrible POS named High School Musical. Yes HSM has brought in millions of $$$ for Disney but If the focus had been put on SH it could've been up there too.

At least kids would get actual entertainment instead of listening to teen stars with little talent singing/acting wise.

(no offense to people that like HSM)

Yeah, I could easily put up with sequals to this movie instead of HSM...its a dang shame! I also think its hilarious a series of movies that started out on TV is getting its third sequal...in THEATERS!

I've currently got a petition for a Sky High sequel that I'm trying to get people to sign, I haven't had time to get signatures by hand so far so I'm hoping I can get more people online to sign. If you could spread the word to any of your friends who liked the movie I'd be very grateful, if you yourself have not signed it the link is here:
http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/SkyHighSequel

It is important that I get signatures in a short amount of time as a petition with many signatures in a small amount of time is much stronger than one where it took a year to get all the signatures needed. So please, help if you can. I'm spreading the word to as many places as I can think of...

I came on here to see about news of a Sequel.

This movie is superb, Kurt Russel is great, and its an excellent feel good movie for both adults, and I would assume kids too.

The villianess is also a total babe too. (also anyone notice how IMDB have by giving who each person plays given away a major plot twist by saying she was also Royal Pain alongside Gwen Grayson).

That's like them listing Kevin Spacey in the Usual Suspects as

Verbal Kint / Keyser Soze

High School Musical... Ugh, one of the many banes of my exsistence. I've gotta wonder if kids back when I was 10 or 13 years old acted like this when Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys were popular *Shudders*? The Fan-Madness surrounding this lame musical franchise is plain... evil.

*Sigh*

While Sky High was not my favorite movie, it is one of the better Disney Movies released in their post-Golden/Silver Age years. And damn funny to boot (depending whom you ask). I'd rather see a sequel made for this film than another sequel to HSM.

NO SEQUELS

This movie was awesome. Why ruin it with a tack-on sequel? Although I'd watch it just for the redhead :)

I love this movie and a sequel would be awesome!

I love this movie and would like to see what happens next to the graduated superheroes, sidekicks and villains. But it would be outside Sky High, as the plot was rounded. It would be a very different adventure, and with Lassetter now in Disney, It could be an even greater movie!

I would love a sequel. You get to see the returning class and see who becomes Villains, and who becomes heroes. Warren was voted most likely to become a villain, and I think it would be cool to see him proving that wrong. No longer does he use a the grumpy defense mechanism, and has a compassionate caring heart. Also what excellent costume Will Stronghold would come up with, and his super hero name. Add in for Warren Peace. I think his super hero name could be StalwartFire, or FlameThrower.

Stalwartfire? Reminds me of Starfire from Teen Titans.

Man, HSM is evil, pure unadulterated evil, but the sad thing is that no matter HOW many kickings it gets fom anyone anywhere it will STILL break records all over the place, no matter what anyone says it is utterly critic-proof.

And that's a shame.......
