Background on Layla

So I was wondering if anyone had any idea on like a background for Layla other than being veg. and pacifist? Like who her parents were, or if they were superheros or something. I searched around and couldn't find anything but I was always kind of curious about it ya know, maybe they put out some promotional material about her or something...I dk...jw if anyone can help. THANKS! :-)

oh also...this is prob a dumb question but I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this questions. It's been a few years since I've seen the movie, but can anyone help me remember how many people knew the parents secret identities? Like does everyone in the school know that The Strongholds are also the commander and Jet Stream? And is every student at the school parents of some sort of superhero, cause thats a hell of a lot of superheros out there procreating and what not haha.

Probably dumb questions, but I was just curious...anyways thanks a ton for any answers!!!

I only got one law- A kid who tells on another kid, is a dead kid!

I can't answer your first question but as for the second:

The students at the school would be familiar with the other kids parents and their alter-egos. But not all of their parents are superheroes, some could have been sidekicks. Or only one of their parents might have some sort of power and the other wouldn't.

Did I make sense?

In one scene Layla tells Jetstream (I think) something like "You know how my Mom can communicate with animals? Well it turns out they don't like beeing eaten."---It's been awhile since I'v seen the movie so it is possible that it was a deleted scene on the DVD.

That wasn't a deleted scene, no. :)

Didn't the Commander tell Will near the beginning, to remember that many of the students only have one super-parent, and not two?

Yes, he did. It's also made a point that Will is third generation, so it seems as if that's somewhat rare. Here's a list of what we know or can surmise:

1. Children of supervillains are generally not allowed. When Will asks Ron if it's the bus to Sky High, Ron hushes him and warns him about villains hearing. This indicates that villains aren't allowed to know where the shool is. Warren's an exception since his mother is/was a hero. His dad's in prison, so she probably has custody.

2. Since Gwen essentially had no real family history and her "father" raised her secretly, they must have some method for identifying and recruiting newly powered students. This also follows from the doctor's mentioning of non-genetic power sources.

3. Children of heroes get in whether they have powers or not. Will wasn't kicked out the first day and it's implied Ron went there. Also, Zack stated he wouldn't have shown his face on the bus if his power hadn't manifested. This indicates he had a choice.

4. The adults were in the first, or at least an early class. Again, Will's status as third generation is mentioned as something special.
