It's a superhero family story that hollywood only made because of the success Pixar had with The Incredibles.
I'm not knocking the movie, though, which I actually like as it's pretty darn cute. It should be a TV Show. :)
Technically, it's based on a whole heap of comics; or at least the basic idea of comics all mashed together. It's kinda like a tribute to comic book superheroes.
