Just watched this again after many years away, and I think Keanu and Winona Igive some of their finest performances in this movie. Not to mention RDJ, Woody, and Rory Cochrane. I'm not sure what the deal is with all this griping about crappy animation. The animation is awesome and further expands on Linklater's earlier movie Waking Life, but with an actual plot and less Wiley Wiggins.

Agreed. It’s fascinating, visceral, and riveting. Great performances all around. As for the complaints about the animation, a lot of them seem to be not about the way the animation itself looks, but the fact that it’s there. I can understand that to an extent but like others I find it effective and it just works. So unique.

One of the best Philip K. Dick adaptions, in my book.
