Haven't seen this movie in years but...

I haven't watched this movie probably since 2007 or so, and I don't really remember what it was about, just the cartoonish animation it had. Anywho, after reading through the plot and other peoples' synopsis about the film, how "New Path" actually used Keanu, and how New Path is actually the bad guy, it made me think: the plot is very similar to Total Recall (1990) with Arnold. Thoughts?

No coincidence at all! "Total Recall" is based on the book "We Can Remember it for You Wholesale" which is also by Phillip K Dick (he wrote A Scanner Darkly).

Other films based on his works include Screamers, Minority Report, Payback, Blade Runner, and arguably Inception was based in part by Ubik.
