i am sick of people suggesting vincent cassel, he is NOT gambit, i repeat HE IS NOT GAMBIT!!! he looks old and sickly and thin and just totally not right for the part, he's not hot, and can you honestly see that man in a relationship with anna paquin on screen? dude, that would just look creepy, i am sick of people suggesting him, i mean seriously, why cause he's french? gambit isn't french, he's cajun. vincent cassel would ruin the character of gambit, i am so opposed to that man i would boycott any x-men film with him in it, that is totally wrong.

a southern accent yes but a cajun one no. If hollywood tries to get an actor to do a cajun accent they will screw it up fo sho. plus is I remember right isnt he from new orleans and that isnt really cajun.
