Poor Michael Hoffman
In all of the posters I've seen it's only been "Screenplay by the Coen Brothers" ...no mention of the director at all.
You know...for kids.
Well
a) nobody does really know Michael Hoffmann. (and Soapdish is one hell of a comedy)
b) Gambi truly failed as a comedy, as a movie as a production
c) Nothing in this mess seams to fit, so Hoffmann may just well at ease when his name is not mentioned
