This movie worked best when Cameron Diaz was offscreen. She was absolutely horrible. As a lifelong Texan, I feel qualified to say she missed the boat with her dreadful attempt at portraying a Texan.

Absolutely dreadful. You could feel her trying too hard. A shame to cast her opposite such greats as Firth and Rickman.Tried to think who could have pulled this off and keep thinking Sandra Bullock would have been perfect.

Completely agree. Continually amazed at how she continues to get main star billing I think she is horrendous. The accent here was woeful
