Watched it via xfinity on demand and well worth the rental price. The ending seemed a bit too pat: (Don't know how he put together that back-up plan in such a short time. Almost made it seem that the secondary plan was part of the original plan all along, which it could not have been.) Regardless, the plot was different enough that the film seemed more homage than remake, and this was aided by a nice retro feel that made it feel like it would be at place alongside films made in the original's era. But the primary reason I watched from start to finish was the actors' performances: They seemed to be having a lot of fun, but without seeming as though they were slumming it.

Well, since this wasn't released to wide enough screen audiences, and I can't get On Demand ANYTHING because my T.V. can't be hooked up to the Internet (which I still find odd that it HAS to be that way now, when the ORIGINAL way of On Demand didn't require this, and as far as I'm concerned still shouldn't), will this be eventually released to REGULAR satellite/cable? If not, it looks like I'll never be able to see it.
