I'm a Fan of These Actors, BUT......

It just did not work for me. My fav comedy, and actually one of my fav films of all time-- is Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, w/ Mich.Caine, Steve Martin and Glenn Headley. It is a heist film that is both hystericasl and suavely clever, and all the players have terrific chemistry. I love a great "fool the bastards and take their money" movie like DRS, but Gambit is so far below it, it's sad. Really, for me, the only thing that worked about Gambit, the only reason I can give to sit through it, was the fantastic Tom Courtenay. I don't really feel like spending any more time on it, figuring out why i thought it didn't work; I just wanted to warn some potential viewers.

The main actors have so many other works they can be proud of; this just isnt going to be one of them, imo.
